Design Office: Contractile models

Design Office: Non-Contractile models
A general organoid-forming platform powered by SmartSphero™ Technology, enabling the generation of robust and reproducible organoids.

This project definition gate ensures that the selected models, functional readouts, and study design are fully adapted to your biological question, development stage, and decision-making needs.

Gate 1 – Model Engineering & Functional Characterization

For any cell source or disease model beyond our catalog:

  • Optimization of organoid assembly and maturation conditions

  • Assessment of viability and structural integrity

  • Evaluation of functional performance using appropriate readouts

  • Maximization of reproducibility and physiological relevance


Characterization at this stage ensures confidence in the model before it is used for screening, validation, or decision-making studies.

Gate 2 – Screening & Validation

We apply the validated models to screening and validation studies, generating high-quality functional data under acute or chronic conditions.

This final step supports compound selection, safety assessment, and translational decision-making, providing results that are robust, reproducible, and aligned with your development objectives.
