SMARTEST SPHEROIDS

4Dcell offers 24 and 96 well plates containing hydrogel-based microwell structures specially designed for the spontaneous formation of uniform spheroids. The anti-adhesive properties of the hydrogel facilitates rapid self-assembly of cell aggregates into compact spheroids.

The APT® (Anchorage Point Technology) anchors the spheroids in place. This prevents the loss of spheroids during typical manipulations (medium exchange, drug addition, etc), and makes the location of each spheroid predictable on the same focal plane. As the hydrogel is optically transparent it is fully compatible with conventional microscopy.

Our R&D teams have engineered our proprietary technology to design the microwell walls, ensuring the consistent reproduction of organoid size and shape (>95%).

Cells are seeded onto substrates coated with a 3D-structured hydrogel, molded into conical-shaped microwells. As they settle, the cells self-organize and anchor at the bottom of the microwell.

The engineered Anchoring Point Technology (APT®) helps secure the cell model in place, ensuring stability and facilitating precise tracking during imaging operations, keeping every organoids on the same focal plane.

These unique properties enable an exceptional level of reproducibility, ensuring consistent shape and size with over 95% accuracy.
SmartSphero® Technology applied to kidney models
High precision - 55 replicates

The SmartSphero plates are designed to guarantee the reliability of each data point.
Each well of the 96-well plate contains up to 55 microwells, providing up to 55 organoids with a strong reproducibility and high statistical power to your research.
For lower throughput, the SmartSphero 24-well plate offers up to 91 microwells per well, providing up to 91 replicates.
This level of statistical power is invaluable, especially when working with very low measurement signals.
