Perfuse 2000+ organoids in a standard multiwell plate

A ready to use long term cell culture solution which transforms your cells into stable, functional and reproducible vasculorized organoids

> MAINTAIN +95% OF SPHEROIDS, UNIFORM SIZE AND SHAPE

Keep your spheroids alive, with <6% variation of the spheroid’ size.

> MEDIUM PERFUSION WITHOUT SPHEROID LOSS OVER WEEKS

The patented anchoring point technology keeps your spheroids in each microwell during perfusion

> COMPATIBLE WITH HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGING

The whole system fits on your microscope, perfect for organoid tracking and automated image acquisition.

> VASCULARIZED IMMUNOCOMPETENT MODEL

The patented microfluidic mutliwell technology allows interconnection of adjacent wells to circulate drugs and immunocompetent cells through endothelium

A unique assay to test your drugs on reconstructed vascularized spheroids.

The microwell’s adhesive bottom surface technology anchors uniform spheroids in a transparent hydrogel fully compatible with live imaging.

The Microfluidic Perfusion Technology®, creates a membrane free functional vascular interface on top of the Spheroids by applying a constant shear stress to differentiate the endothelium layer.

This unique system preserves your 91 spheroids in each microwell with a permanent culture medium flow (supporting constant nutrient supply) over weeks and allows to image in real time the effect of your drug or immunocompetent therapies.

These combined technologies allow direct observation of up to 2184 spheroids in parallel during several weeks on a 24 well plate under optimal culture conditions.

HOW TO HANDLE YOUR 24 WELL PLATES

Perfused organoid

FEATURES & BENEFITS

24 WELL PLATES WITH MICROWELLS FOR SPHEROIDS’ ASSEMBLY, UNDER PERFUSION

Perfusion adaptor

Transparent polymer, guaranteeing no autofluoresence

There is only a few microliters of dead volumes, avoiding a high dilution factor

Can perfuse from 350 µL to 850 µL per well (in a 24 multiwell plate)

Air-tight closure to avoid contamination

Principle of the perfused organoid

Vasculorized organoid

Organoid plate

24 well plates with glass bottom ( #1.5, 0.16 – 0.19 mm), micro-well size 14 mm or 10 mm

Each well contains 91 individual microwells where spheroids are nestled and anchored

The microstructured substrates are made of biocompatible polyethylene glycol gel

The microwells can be coated with an ECM matrix to increase the adherence of the spheroid to the contact (attachment) point

The gels are provided in a water based solution that maintains their mechanical and optical properties

Mesenchymal Stem cells (MSCs) seeded in a 3D structured hydrogel designed for controlled spheroid formation (4Dcell SmartSphero plates).
Seeding density: 3000 cells/microwell. The video shows the initial stages of spheroid formation, including cell aggregation and spheroid compaction, followed by spheroid growth in the days following compaction due to cell proliferation.
